This week Year 2 had a super exciting forest school session with their Year 2 friends from Bede Burn. We started off our afternoon exploring volume and capacity, and created our own fruit punch by measuring different fruit juices and combining them together, thinking about millilitres and litres.
Next, we completed a hunt around the nature garden to find different questions related to all of our learning this half term, thinking about our sticky knowledge, and explaining our answers using our oracy skills.
Finally, we ended our afternoon visiting the chicken and duck coop, changing their water, collecting the eggs and feeding them, which was a firm favourite with both classes!
