Well the weather was certainly on our side this week for chicken and duck club, and we were able to get the fire going in the nature garden. We enjoyed hot dogs around the campfire in the glorious autumn sunshine!

St. Oswald’s school council had their first meeting of the academic year, on Thursday! We will be meeting up every half term to promote child voice within the school. Today, we discussed what the children would like to change/improve in within their classrooms and around the school. We already can’t wait to meet again in Autumn 2!
Olivia would like everyone to meet her litte brother Jake! Born yesterday at 9.46am weighing 8lb 12oz. We are all smitten with him and he can’t wait to meet everyone.
St. Oswald’s have had the best time at the Harvest Festival this morning. We were joined by Father David who gave a speech alongside our very own Mrs Smith in church. Christian Council led the way by delivering a beautiful service and we all sang our hearts out to our favourite harvest songs!
Yesterday at St. Oswald’s we were super lucky and had a visit from Evie – an anatomy lecturer from Sunderland University. She taught us all about what anatomy is, how we can take care of it and about some anatomy opportunities at Sunderland University. We loved celebrating world anatomy day!
St. Oswald’s celebrated how fantastic we all are on Thursday morning, in the hall, with some karaoke, some moving and some grooving. We had the BEST time!
What a lovely night we had at Chicken and Duck club this week! Back by popular demand, and much to the request of our newest club members, we had one of our legendary s’mores nights, and this lovely lot were as amazing as ever!
‘On Saturday Cara completed the Mini Great North Run for the 2nd time! She did so well and raised funds for Children’s Cancer North. Well done to everyone who took part in all of the GNR events!’
