On Tuesday in Y5, we all went over to the nature garden with Mrs O’Doherty to begin our DT week all about ‘eating the seasons’.
We used our knowledge on seasonality and discussed what vegetables were currently in season and then began to practice cooking techniques such as: dicing, peeling, grating, sautéing and boiling.
Keep an eye out parents and careers as we’ve made some super seasonal soup today also – watch this space!
