St Oswald’s vs Monkton Juniors A
With a 3-0 win against the B team St Oswald’s faced their toughest challenge to date – the A team. At the beginning of the game we knew we would have to play as a proper team.
With a tight first half, 50-50 it could have went to anyone. The half-time team talk gave us a real boost as Connor Clark scored his 5th of the campaign. This goal gave us real momentum, as Oliver Cresdee sealed the deal with a corker of a strike. This made it 2-0 and with minutes to go they really started to come at us. But we had a strong defence and goalkeeper. We set up on a counter which did not pay off as the Monkton goalkeeper would have impressed Manuel Neuer with a save like that. Finally the whistle went as it felt like it had been 2-0 for years!
